British WSX GP cancelled:  See Statement

The cancellation of the British WSX GP was a real blow for UK fans. SX Global cited the search for new investment and long-term stability, but the news raises a bigger question: is World Supercross trying to run before it can walk?

The dream behind WSX is awesome taking high-level supercross worldwide makes total sense on paper. But shipping bikes, crates, and crews across continents costs serious money, and filling huge stadiums in new markets isn't easy.

Maybe a travelling world tour isn't the answer just yet.

Imagine a regional setup instead: strong series across Britain, Europe, Australia, and the US, with top riders qualifying for a massive, single-event World Final at the end of the year. You’d still get the huge international showdown, but without draining teams' bank accounts all season long.

Broadcast quality matters here, too. The racing in WSX is great, but American Supercross has set the bar so high with slick production, deep rider stories, and proper pre-race analysis. When fans pay for a stream, that’s what they expect.

On home soil, supercross needs to feel less like a visiting circus and more like something we're part of. Getting local British riders, teams, and promoters involved is how you build real grassroots hype that actually lasts.

This doesn't mean the WSX dream is dead. The appetite for supercross is definitely there, but this cancellation is a reality check: growth has to be sustainable for everyone involved organisers, teams, and fans alike.

Where do you stand on this? Would you rather see a full global series, or a regional championship leading to one huge World Final? Drop your thoughts below!
