Description
ATHENA Cylinder Head Gasket - S410270001057
Description
The head gasket is a complex and crucial technological component. To meet the ongoing needs of the market, Athena conducts meticulous checks on its head gaskets, both during the design phase and during bench tests. Athena head gasket can be produced using different technologies, such as metal/elastomer combinations or multilayer with Athena steel and coating materials. Choosing a Top-quality gasket is the first step towards a reliable engine.
Depending on the type, it is submitted to:
1.1. High precision cutting
Thanks to latest generation lasers, it is possible to obtain a high degree of precision and purity, completely eliminating production burrs. These can cause various elements (oil, water, compression gas) to infiltrate compromising engine operations.
2.2. Alignment of reliefs
This solution increases the elasticity of the gasket during operation, guaranteeing excellent grip over time, even in extreme conditions. On the contrary, a misalignment of the reeds would cause an immediate flattening of the gasket, eliminating the function of elastic memory and the consequent loss of compression.
